Welcome to Doula Days.

Supporting you in the days before, during and after the birth of your baby

Supporting families in Hertfordshire, North London and surrounding areas

I have a degree (BA Hons) from the University of Leeds in Child Development, Education and Culture, and have spent the past decade working in a special educational needs school. After having two children myself, with very different births, I decided to train as a Doula to help other women, birthing people and their families during what is undoubtably one of the most life changing experiences you can go through.

Why Hire a Doula?

“If a doula were a drug, it would be unethical not to use it” - Dr. Marshall Klaus, neonatalogist

A Doula is a trained, non-medical professional who provides continuous physical, emotional and educational support to women and birthing people before, during and after childbirth, in order to facilitate the best possible birth experience.

Give birth your way.

Women and birthing people who use a Doula are more likely to have a natural, physiological birth- without assistance such as forceps or ventouse, or a caesarean birth.

Shorten your labour.

Having a Doula with you during childbirth can decrease the length of your labour by up to 25%.

Reduce the likelihood of your need for pain medication.

Women and birthing people who have a Doula are less likely to require medication for pain management.
