My services.
Personalised.
I offer a range of different services. Please contact me and we can build a personalised package to suit you & your family’s needs. I also offer additional, bite sized sessions if you don’t feel you need a whole package, or if you want to add on to an existing package. Please contact me for pricing.
Birth package.
The birth package includes my continuous support during your pregnancy, two antenatal sessions, joining you and your partner for the duration of labour and birth, as well as one postnatal visit to celebrate the birth of your baby, debrief on the birth and answer any questions you may have.
My birth package includes:
A free initial consultation wherever you’d like - at your home or somewhere else - to see how we get on, discuss how I can support you and ask any questions you may have. If you have a partner, it would be important for me to meet them too, so that we can also get to know each other.
Accompanying you to midwife or doctors appointments if you would like my support.
I’ll help you to write your birth preferences and explain the various options that are available to you so that both you and your partner feel as prepared as can be.
If this isn’t your first pregnancy and birth experience, we’ll discuss the first one and how it went - anything that didn’t go how you’d like and how this time can be better for you.
Unlimited phone and e-mail support to answer any questions or concerns you might have and offer information and support throughout your pregnancy and early labour.
Two antenatal visits in your home to assess your needs and desires for birth, talk about the physiology of birth, go through ideas and provide you with useful tools and information for labour and birth.
24 hour, 7 days a week ‘on-call’ period from weeks 38-42 of your pregnancy so that whenever you are ready to welcome your baby into the world, I can guarantee I’ll be there.
Continuous physical, emotional and informational support for you and your partner for the duration of labour and birth to help you fulfil the vision you created for your baby’s birth.
One postnatal follow-up visit so that we can talk through your birth experience, celebrate the arrival of your baby and answer any questions you may have - including initial support with breastfeeding.
Postnatal package.
My postnatal package is designed to offer you emotional and practical support following the birth of your baby. My aim is to empower you and your family to feel confident in making the decisions that are right for you in a relaxing and stress free environment. I will offer information, tips and encouragement in the comfort of your own home, as well as providing a supportive, non-judgemental listening ear. The goal is to support you and your partner with the day-to-day running of your household so that you can concentrate on getting to know your new baby.
My postnatal package includes:
Coming to your house to support you a couple of times a week, a few hours a day, for approximately the first 8-12 weeks. This may involve: looking after the baby so you can rest, helping with some light housework such as tidying up, walking the dog or helping you to do some shopping.
Supporting you with infant feeding- be it breast, bottle or a mix of the two- along with practical newborn tips. We will discuss any concerns and issues you have and I’ll offer lots of information - or just a supportive listening ear, if that’s what you’d like.
Sharing my knowledge on different methods and philosophies on raising children, to help you discover how you want to do things. There’s no ‘right way’: every family has their own ideals and instincts. I’ll help you find yours.
Overnight support if this is something you would like. Babies may be cute, but they also tend to be little sleep thieves! I am happy to arrange a night with you a couple of times a month, so that you have a chance to catch up on some much needed rest, enabling you to feel refreshed.
Additional packages.
Birth Preparation session: a one off, 3 hour session in your home to talk through the process of labour and birth and your preferences.
Breastfeeding support- ongoing one-to-one breastfeeding support sessions at your home to ensure your journey runs smoothly. I will refer you to a specialist if we encounter a problem we cannot solve together.
Overnight support - to be arranged on an individual basis.
