About Tal
Welcome to my website and congratulations on your pregnancy and the new little person/people in your life!
I’m Tal. I live in Hertfordshire with my husband, two sons aged 8 and 6, our poodles Teddy and Rupert and a Leopard Gecko called Herby!
Born in Manchester, I moved to London in 2011 to live with my now husband and have spent almost all of the past decade supporting children with special educational needs and their families.
I have a degree from the University of Leeds in Child Development, Education and Culture but I have always had a passion for all things pregnancy and birth. Embarking on the truly miraculous journey of motherhood myself inspired me to become a Doula. Having experienced two very different births, I realised the importance of a good support network during pregnancy, birth and those early postnatal weeks. I want to help other women and their families during what is undoubtably the most life changing experience you can go through.
Your birth experience is something that will be etched in your memory forever. It is my role as a Doula to help make those memories as positive as can be, by ensuring you feel informed, supported and empowered in the decisions you make for yourself, your baby and your family every step of the way.
They say it takes a village to raise a child. I would be honoured to be part of yours!
My ethos
Non-Judgmental.
I want you to have the best birth and postnatal experience. I’ll always inform you of every option so that you’re empowered to make the decisions that are right for you and your family. That decision is yours and I’ll never judge you for it. And if you change your mind along the way, that’s fine too.
Inclusive.
I work with families of all backgrounds and different set ups and I promise to keep you all included. I wouldn’t be doing my job if anyone involved in the birth of your baby felt left out. I’m here for you, for your partner - for the whole family. It’s my job to make sure you all feel comfortable and fully informed.
Supportive.
I want you to feel supported every step of the way on your journey to parenthood. As incredible as pregnancy and birth can be, it can also be a confusing and sometimes unsettling time. Having someone there to hold your hand, guide you and ensure you never feel alone will make the world of difference to your overall experience.
